Wow I feel like a cad... I'd been quite neglectful.

Yes, stuff should start getting submitted for the September issue.

And I should propose a meeting... so what's the schedule like for my dear kamizine crew? I'm fine except for mornings (and remember I am in the pacific time zone, so really, I won't be available until after 3:30-ish pm EST) on weekdays.

...Which is perfectly fine, as I am at work from at least 8 AM to 5 PM EST every weekday.

I'm gonna be honest here. If we manage to make a meeting happen Saturday, we'd be meeting for the first time halfway through August. We have one submission, not counting what Red has hiding up her technicolor dreamcoat.

If anyone wants to put work towards proving me wrong, I'm game—but I don't believe a September issue is within the realm of possibility.

Well, what type of stuff do you need/want? I can pull a couple things out of my ass if need be.

With the cold I got now I doubt I'll be sleeping much this weekend, so might as well put stuff to good use.

Basically, if it was in the first Kamizine? It'd fit in the second. A promo for one of your existing kamishibai or something new you're working on, mini-stories, anecdotes, tutorials, et cetera. If there's something along those lines that we haven't thought of already, it'd probably fit too. (If you've got doubts, just ask.)

That said, there are at least two features unique to the next issue. Off the top of my head:

the logo contest: Basically, the Kamizine is looking for a logo. We've only got one entry so far—from Mike Joy. The contest was technically supposed to end July 27th, but...I think we need to extend the deadline.
the reader question: "What is the ideal length of a Kamishibai?" If you've got any sort of opinion on that, feel free to send it to kamizine@gmail.com.

Indeed, I propose extending the Logo contest deadline to the 27th of August.

Very well. I shall see what I can pull outta my butt this weekend. And it hopefully will be better than the Boogie Eddie Murphy put there.

/lame late 80s themed joke.
