Good day everybody.

This may seem a bit invasive and a little strange, but I was wondering if any of you have any particularily creepy rooms in your house. Or even mildly creepy. Or even potentially creepy. Actually, I'm not wondering this, my friend is, but she refuses to join online communities, and when she does, she disappears after maybe three posts because she just cannot abide interacting with someone without being able to monitor their body language or even tone of voice, unless she already knows them very well and can imagine their body language and tone of voice.

...

That rant aside, she wants to do a Kamishibai, but before even jumping into story or characters, she wants all of her backgrounds done. It will primarily take place in a house, and she just thinks it'd be cool to use rooms that look similar to ones her audience (other kamishibai artists at any rate) live in or see often to really 'draw them in'.

I think the idea has merit, but I also think people like their privacy, so if I get no bites, that is perfectly fine. Of course if I get too many of one kind of room I (she) will have to pick and choose. Since I don't have with me a list of rooms (she hasn't fully decided the size of the house yet) I cannot just make a list of what I am looking for.

Furthermore, it will be helpful if you DO wish to share a room to take as wide of a pan angle as possible, or even several angles of the room.

If no one wants any we'll likely just make it up.

Ahem, tl;dr my friend is looking for pictures of people's rooms to base background sketches for a kamishibai off of.

Please send a link to them in a PM to me or email them to jo_talia@hotmail.com

That sounds like a really cool idea! Unfortunately, my house is sans a creepy room (unless you count the mess in my bedroom, but that's more gross than creepy.)

I'm going up to my Grandma's house for Thanksgiving and she lives in an old farmhouse, so maybe I'll get a few pics while I'm there!

I'd love to help you out, but I don't think my house fits the bill. It's hard to be creepy when you're full of flat-pack furniture and anime toys :\

Good luck! If I do find any creepy rooms, I'll do my best to get a picture.

Do you specifically want pictures from the kami community? Flickr is also a great resource and you can search for creative commons licensed stuff as well.

That (or a place like it) was going to be my next destination. Or her next destination.

Speaking on behalf of someone else gets confusing when they aren't right beside you. Er, me... er...

*gives up*

Depending on what your friend is looking for, I can also poke around on some Japanese game resource sites. Or if you're looking for creepy urban outdoor settings, I can help out there...
